Art With Impact

My geometric abstract paintings are created to do more than filling a wall — they shape uplifting environments that encourage joy, optimism, and calm.

Bright colors and clean forms bring energy to waiting rooms, offices, classrooms, and shared spaces, making them feel welcoming, engaging, and alive.

Art With Impact

Create Spaces That Lift Spirits

Patients, clients, and employees respond to color. A vibrant work of art can ease anxiety in healthcare settings, spark creativity in offices, or energize classrooms.

My paintings and prints are chosen by institutions that want to offer not only excellent service but also a positive, memorable environment.

The Artist

Douglas Nelson

Working from his home studio in Oak Park, Illinois, Douglas Nelson creates minimalist, geometric abstract art using acrylic on canvas. His work is defined by vivid color, clear structure, and an interest in how unexpected color combinations can lift the spirit.

Originally from Chicago, Douglas spent 33 years in Germany after an 18-month corporate assignment turned into a life-changing chapter. During that time, painting evolved from a hobby into a serious artistic practice.

His influences include mid-century artists such as Ellsworth Kelly, Victor Vasarely, and Donald Judd, as well as contemporary artists like Yaacov Agam.
